General Questions
Q: What’s double dipping?
That’s when you reuse the same wax stick over and over again. Can you imagine where the last place that stick has been? Gross! That will NEVER happen here.
Q: How long should the hairs be?
For body waxing treatments, hairs need to be at least ¼ - ¾ inch long. Any longer than this must be trimmed before arriving or you will be charged an additional fee for the extra time involved. If you just shaved, give yourself 2-3 weeks for your hairs to grow back.
Q: I have a hard time trimming down there. Is there an easier way?
Yes, there is! I recommend getting “peanut clippers.” They’re smaller than the regular hair clippers, and it’s a lot safer than scissors. These can be found at most drugstores.
Q: How long will it take for the hairs to grow back?
This may vary, but on average it takes about 4-6 weeks for the hairs to fully grow back. It usually lasts 2 weeks for a clean look. Four weeks is the average time.
Q: 'When should I come for my next waxing?
Since hairs are in 4-6 week cycles, I recommend coming back in 4-5 weeks for the first 3 waxes. The roots are not as strong and we can get them out easier with less pain! I find with all my first time clients, it gets easier after 3 consistent appts. Usually, the third time is a
charm. Not painless, but better.
Q: I just got waxed a few days ago and I see hair. Why is that?
Hairs are always in different stages of growth. Sometimes they are too short for the wax or they are right under the skin. But, of course, if you find that I missed a patch, please give me a call and I will take care of it. I’m only human.
Q: How long will my appointment take?
That depends on what area we are talking about. A Brazilian wax usually takes 20-30 mins. I tweeze stray hairs unless you don’t want me to. For Manzilians, it can take anywhere from 30-60 mins. Again, that depends on how much hair and tweezing I do. For first-timers or very sensitive clients, I give little breaks and breathers if necessary. Just a short break/breather or it will take me FOREVER to finish.
Q: Will I be able to have sex afterwards?
Well, that depends where you were waxed. If you just got your brows waxed, why not? If you had a Brazilian or Manzilian, NO sexual activity for 24-48 hours. Friction on freshly waxed skin can cause inflammation, irritations, and the area may be prone to infections.
Q: Why not shave?
Shaving cuts the hair at the hair shaft, which not only re-grows with a stubbly feel, but it allows the hair to re-grow the next day or in some cases the same day. Waxing lasts longer and doesn’t cause razor burn nor does it risk cutting sensitive areas.
Q: Is it normal to bleed?
Yes, and we’re not talking about blood gushing. By the time the service is over, you should be fine. Bleeding is more likely to occur in sensitive areas such as the underarms, eyebrows, and of course, the southern region. It happens when you are new to waxing. I apply aloe vera gel afterwards or hydrocortisone to facial areas.
Q: Does waxing hurt?
Let me be honest. Yup, its gonna hurt and you will feel something. The pain fades within seconds and with regular waxing, it gets better. Most clients get through the service fine.

Q: I'm going on a trip, and I'm wearing a bikini. When is the latest I should get waxed?
If it's your first time getting waxed, I would get waxed 3-4 days prior to the trip. Redness, bumps, or irritations can happen. Let's not take any chances and do it too close to the day of your trip. NOTE: This applies to all events such as weddings, pool parties, etc.
Q: Is it safe to have a Brazilian wax during pregnancy?
Yes, it's safe to get waxed during pregnancy. NOTE: Please let me know if you are expecting so I can give myself extra time. I understand trimming can be a challenge so don't worry about it. If you feel unsure about waxing, ask your doctor.
Q: I just got my period. Can I still get waxed?
That's not a problem, as long as you wear a tampon.
